Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Manages the requisition function for a pre-determined functional areas or division. Accepts and scrutinizes vendor agreements, GPO (contracted) pricing, bids or proposals. Selects sources based upon analysis. The Supply Chain Analyst completes various difficult responsibilities which require broad and specific training skills. Requires proactive communication with customers and vendors via telephone, e-mail, or materials management software program; manages database records; drafting status reports on customer service issues; and confers with managers and vendors.  Requires ability to understand materials requirements and choose from several options. Work closes with the CPO to make arrangements for delivery schedules. Analysis purchase requisitions, transportation and delivery documents, and related letters or memos. The Analyst completes reports of purchasing activities and costs for the Value Analysis program::

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business pricing/coding documents.

  2. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, shipping costs, and volume.

  3. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  4. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

  5. A minimum of 2 years progressive experience in purchasing, healthcare preferred.

  6. Advanced computer skills with the ability to train others in system usage are preferred.
