**ROLE SUMMARY**







This is an entry level position in the Kalamazoo QO Rapid Turn Laboratory working on third shift (11:00PM - 7:30AM). Opportunity for schedule flexibility exists as the Laboratory supports business and customer needs on weekends and holidays. This position qualifies for a shift premium. Technologies employed in the Rapid Turn Laboratory include HPLC, GC, titrations, Karl Fisher, UV, and general analytical procedures.



This position is part of a career path/progression. If you are already on the career path/progression and you are selected for the position, you will transfer laterally with no grade change if the position was posted at your current grade. **ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**







+ Works effectively in a fast-paced, customer-oriented, team laboratory environment to analyze final API and for sale intermediate samples via various analytical methods, such as Physical Testing, GC, Spectroscopy, Particle Size, Optical Rotation, and KF in support of the company's quality program in the chemistry laboratory.



+ Performs, documents, record checks, and troubleshoots qualitative or quantitative assays on samples using techniques that vary from use of standard laboratory equipment to highly modern and automated instrumentation.



+ Interprets and evaluates data in terms of accuracy, precision, trends, and potential GMP impact and recommends appropriate corrective action where necessary.



+ Maintains high productivity and the ability to multi-task coupled with a low error rate and attention to detail.



+ Weekend and overtime may be required to meet supply and customer needs.



**QUALIFICATIONS**



AAS, BA/BS, or MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related science with a minimum of 2 years related experience in Quality Operations preferred.







**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**



This position may require colleagues to work extended hours to meet business or customer needs. All Laboratory colleagues adhere to safe work practices such as wearing appropriate personal protective equipment including lab coat, safety glasses, and gloves. There is no routine travel associated with this position.







Laboratory and office work requiring walking, standing, and sitting throughout a shift. Lifting of items less than 25 kg. Ability to perform mathematical calculations and complex data analysis.
