Job Details

Works effectively in a fast-paced, customer-oriented, team laboratory environment to analyze final API and for sale intermediate samples in the non-LC API Laboratory. This is in support of the company's quality program in the chemistry laboratory. Performs, documents, record checks, and troubleshoots qualitative or quantitative non-LC assays on samples using techniques that vary from use of standard laboratory equipment to highly modern and automated instrumentation. Interprets and evaluates data in terms of accuracy, precision, trends, and potential GMP impact and recommends appropriate corrective action where necessary. Participates in laboratory investigations as required. Occasional overtime as required to meet supply and customer needs.







**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**







+ Works effectively in a fast-paced, customer-oriented, team laboratory environment to analyze final API and for sale intermediate samples via various analytical methods, such as Physical Testing, GC, Spectroscopy, Particle Size, Optical Rotation, and KF in support of the company's quality program in the chemistry laboratory.



+ Performs, documents, record checks, and troubleshoots qualitative or quantitative assays on samples using techniques that vary from use of standard laboratory equipment to highly modern and automated instrumentation.



+ Interprets and evaluates data in terms of accuracy, precision, trends, and potential GMP impact and recommends appropriate corrective action where necessary.



+ Maintains high productivity and the ability to multi-task coupled with a low error rate and attention to detail.



+ Occasional overtime may be required to meet supply and customer needs.







**QUALIFICATIONS**







+ AAS, BA/BS, or MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related science with a minimum of 2 years related experience in Quality Operations preferred.







Laboratory and office work requiring walking, standing, and sitting throughout a shift. Lifting of items less than 25 kg. These positions may require colleagues to work weekends and/or holidays to meet business or customer needs.







**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**







This position may require colleagues to work extended hours to meet business or customer needs. All Laboratory colleagues adhere to safe work practices such as wearing appropriate personal protective equipment including lab coat, safety glasses, and gloves. There is no routine travel associated with this position.
