Quality Analyst Coordinator - Optum360 - Eden Prairie MN or Atlanta GA (743350)

Position Description

Positions in the function are responsible for end-to-end Quality Assurance process activities within Optum360 Revenue Cycle Management Organization. As needed, support the work on risk identification, diagnose process issues, identify process improvement solutions and process improvement implementation using principles of process excellence and related tools. This position will primarily support quality auditing and defect capture function.  Continuous engagement and collaboration with Optum360 Operations Leadership is essential. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Applies knowledge/skills to activities that often vary from day to day

  • Demonstrates a moderate level of knowledge and skills in own functional Optum360 Operations Area of focus

  • Requires some assistance with standard and non-standard requests

  • Solves routine problems on own

  • Works with supervisor to solve more complex problems

  • Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet agreed upon deadlines

  • Works with others as part of a team

  • Some proficiency in understanding of basic process management and total quality management principles and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma; Lean)

  • Basic understanding of relevant organizations' operations, products and applications, strategies, processes, and/or business priorities in order to build effective solutions

  • Some proficiency in understanding of upstream and downstream impacts to partners of business process operations and solutions

  • Consistently provide direct support of Quality auditing activities to validate process performance and sharing findings with QA leadership

  • Support the analysis  of quality auditing findings as it relates to  business process information (e.g., metrics; analytics) to identify key issues, trends, and potential root causes (e.g., training issues; lack of understanding by user community) that point to improvement opportunities

  • Support engagement with relevant stakeholders (e.g., end users, SMEs, sponsors) to establish appropriate criteria and goals (e.g., efficiency, effectiveness) in order to direct investigation into problems and potential solutions

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

  • Basic MS Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • SharePoint experience including navigation and basic functionality

  • Basic knowledge of Project Management

  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate to a variety of levels within the organization including executive leadership

  • Effective analytical and negotiation skills with a proven track record for innovative successful outcomes

  • Proven record of positive and effective team interactions

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in large, multi-function and cross geographic organizations

  • Prior experience in Revenue Cycle Management environment

  • Prior experience Project Management experience

  • Prior experience working in a healthcare related field or earned credential through formal education (ie: degree or certificate in healthcare field)
