This leadership role will report to the Vice President of STAR Operations and Quality and will be responsible for defining and managing all Quality Assurance activities within the Medicare STARS Operations and Quality team. You will be accountable for ensuring the proper Quality Assurance controls are in place for inbound data, internal analytics and outbound results to external customers while ensuring operational excellence and continuity.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Define/Approve manual and automated Quality Assurance activities for the STARS Datamart (SDM) and Single Data Repository (SDR)

  • Analyze and optimize QA business processes, monitor and manage KPIs, and develop teams that can scale with growth

  • Partner with IT delivery teams as the business owner of Quality Assurance operations

  • Manage a team of Quality Assurance Analysts who will execute ongoing Quality Assurance validation, issue identification, and root cause analysis of identified issues

  • Partner with clinical teams and other customers to ensure delivery of pertinent data for our clinical programs is timely and accurate

  • Actively participate in leadership level planning for strategic and tactical enhancements to STAR related data assets

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 10+ years of progressive management and leadership experience
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience managing Quality Assurance processes for large and complex systems
  • Extensive operational knowledge of Clinical Data platforms and Data Management
  • Skilled in successful execution of operational deliverables, developing action plans to accomplish goals and providing ongoing updates on progress
  • Demonstrated passion and commitment to positive and effective customer services and experience with track record of matching capabilities to meet/exceed customer expectations
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, proven ability to navigate, influence, and negotiate complex and matrix reporting relationships
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to maintain focus and a positive attitude in ambiguous or high pressure situations
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment which requires creativity and self-motivation
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of HEDIS and Star Quality Specifications
  • Experience working with the following database technologies: Teradata, Hadoop
