General Summary







The incumbent will work with EU Release and IO Compliance team within Supply Chain Management Quality Operations (SCMQO) and key stakeholders including Customer Service Operations, Customs and Intercompany Master Data to ensure that all products physically and/or financially owned by Pfizer Service Company (PSC), Pfizer Innovative Supply Point International (PISPI) and Pfizer Export BV (PEBV) are released for sale to global markets in accordance with the EU GDPs.







This role provides Quality Oversight of the regional Logistic Service Providers (LSP) in Belgium and Hungary.







The role has accountability for the design, implementation, execution, monitoring and compliance of the Quality Systems in support of the release for sale activities.







Principal Duties & Responsibilities







+ Provides effective quality oversight of the regional LSPs in Belgium and Hungary



+ Monitors compliance with GDP, GMPs and Pfizer Quality Standards



+ Executes regular on site visits to both LSPs



+ Ensures plans are developed to address identified gaps and monitors remediation and CAPA effectiveness







+ Has regular reviews of quality performance with LSP Management and represents Quality in the Business Review Meetings with the LSPs



+ Ensures that the required quality agreements between Pfizer and the LSPs are in place and reflecting current expectations



+ Design and implements a consistent quality oversight model including the appropriate quality interfaces with Pfizer



+ Provide the appropriate quality support in Pfizer projects involving the LSPs, such as stock transfers during acquisitions and serialization activities etc.







+ Ensures that appropriate systems for customer and supplier screening, quality agreement with distributors, export declarations, verification of Inter Company Master Data (ICMD) data and transportation instructions are in place.







+ Provide leadership in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of one single quality system in support of release for sale which is in compliance with Pfizer Quality Standards and BoH expectations.







+ Review, evaluate and support complex investigations and present formal notifications of significant issues to senior management and Quality Review Teams.



+ Provide leadership in the implementation of BT systems in support of release for sale activities



+ Is part of the Zaventem Logistics Center LT







+ Works proactively to strengthen the quality culture in the Zaventem LC.







+ Ensure that the appropriate resources are in place and are effectively organized to support the timely and compliant release for sale



+ Manages a team of quality professionals



+ Supports colleague development and performs talent reviews







Educational Qualification & Experience Required







+ A minimum of a Bachelor degree in Sciences or Engineering



+ A minimum of 10 years previous experience is required within the pharmaceutical industry - preferably within the Quality and/or Compliance fields



+ Experience with building effective teams



+ Able to work well in a matrix organization set up and influence key stakeholders. Good interaction and clear communication skills with multiple stakeholders is required.



+ Worked extensively with contractors and service providers.



+ Able to influence indirect reports to deliver results.



+ Fluent in English (spoken and written), ability to speak and read other European languages will be an added advantage



+ Excellent Quality Decision making skills.



+ A RP/QP qualification is a plus (for back-up)
