Job Requirements

::The Switchboard Operator is responsible for reception duties as prescribed by the organization, including telephonic and walk-in traffic.

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  High school diploma or general education degree; with six months switchboard experience.  Must have excellent communication skills.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

 

REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions..
