*Role Description*

The Regional Account Manager will serve as Pfizer's US Biosimilars representative, responsible for driving the business relationship with assigned Regional Accounts (both commercial and Medicaid) to achieve rapid and sustained market access for products in the emerging US Biosimilars portfolio. This position will support the launch of our first US Biosimilar Inflectra (infliximab-dyyb) as well as a growing and broad portfolio of emerging biosimilar products, with five anticipated US launches by 2019 across a portfolio of inflammation and oncology assets.The Regional Account Manager will serve an experienced and trusted business advisor, responsible for developing a deep knowledge of the customer's business model and expertly representing the accounts' perspective, precedent, and incentives with regard to Biosimilars and related competitive products. The RAM will help to ensure that Pfizer is optimizing the US Biosimilars business with targeted accounts through mutually beneficial B2B interactions and by proactively strategizing with internal stakeholders as it relates to account/national trends and opportunities in the Biosimilars space. The RAM will also work closely with the broader US Biosimilars account management team and the PCA organization to share learnings, drive optimal communication and collaboration and ensure a consistent "One Pfizer" approach for all customer facing activities.This position reports to the Director of Regional Accounts


*Responsible for developing and growing business partnerships with the assigned Regional Accounts*Accountable for the successful implementation of the strategic and tactical market access plan for US Biosimilars within their assigned accounts*Lead collaboration process with cross-functional team members to ensure product category objectives and strategies are understood and in alignment across the team *Negotiates and manages contracts with the Regional accounts to maximize business results*Assess account economics and assess opportunities to minimize utilization management tools during customer negotiations*Develop account business cases and analytics to support strategy as required; communicate these business cases to the appropriate governance committees to support decision making *Develop and execute strategies to favorably impact coverage policy decisions within accounts*Proactively identify potential marketplace trends and barriers, within the buy and bill, biosimilars and product categories of interest*Provide updates and analysis to leadership team and sales managers*Coordinates with field force and headquarters to effectively inform and communicate strategy and to leverage learnings and synergies.*Provides insight to internal stakeholders on account's market, business and growth strategies to assist in defining long term relationship strategies and supporting product promotions.*Work closely with other account management counterparts who are actively involved in targeted accounts; specifically work closely with the PCA account enterprise lead to ensure close communication, collaboration and strategic partnership and to ensure a "One Pfizer" face to the customer.


*Minimum of three years or equivalent of demonstrated success in an account management role; minimum of six years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.*Must have existing relationship with multiple marketplace stakeholders; prefer regional account management experience.*In-depth knowledge of biologics, buy and bill (medical benefit/part B) or injectables space with experience managing these types of products in the commercial managed care space.*Previous experience in launching new products within market access is strongly preferred*Inflammation or oncology experience a plus; sales operations, sales training, marketing, sales management or access strategy also valued.*Candidate should have detailed understanding of the healthcare industry as it related to dictating health care policy in the US.*Demonstrated success in consultative selling, leadership and integrated business perspectives; strong negotiation skills.*Ability to work, lead and influence across a highly matrixed environment*Excellent verbal and written communication skills*Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate spheres of influence#LI-SA1
