What You'll Do

• The HR Customer Delivery Team (CDL) is the responsible for the day-to-day HR support and management of a Business Unit/s
• Applies knowledge of Cisco's business strategies to proactively anticipate business needs and develop HR solutions and strategies to support these.
• The CDL is responsible for delivering and executing company-wide HR programs including Compensation Increase Cycles and Performance Management processes. The CDL works closely with business leaders up to the Director level to develop strategies and guidelines for implementing these processes that meet the needs of individual BUs. For eg. Whilst the budget for a particular Compensation cycle will be set centrally, the CDL will work with leaders of the BU locally to identify priorities for increase, allocation of budgets across teams and strategize optimal utilisation of funds.

• The CDL can effectively interpret policies to help organizations operate effectively within guidelines. These include advising business leaders on performance management cases, employee relations issues, business restructuring activities and merger and acquisition activities.

• Reviews and advises on policy exceptions in areas including external hire offers and benefits.

• Leverages data and analytics effectively to identify and solve talent challenges. Tracks metrics and holds business leaders accountable to talent related commitments.
• Maintains focus and a constructive approach during times of change and uncertainty. Handles controversial situations, customer/client negotiations and influences and persuades senior management effectively.

• Partners with global Engineering HR teams in US and elsewhere, to implement BU specific strategies and highlight India organisation needs or concerns.

• Executes against team plans and looks for ways to improve productivity as well as profitability.
• Typically takes the lead in developing complex company policies, which not only affect immediate operations, but other functional areas, and potentially affect company-wide operations.

 

Who you’ll work with:

This CDL role will partner with a Cisco Regional Sales organization and execute the HR strategies, programs, policies and practices that help the business achieve results. They will also partner with Senior HR Business Partners and the Practice partners including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development and Employee Relations on an as needed basis.


Who You Are:

Experience & Skills Needed

• MBA degree, specializing in Human Resources

• Client facing HR generalist, with a minimum of 5 years of experience. Experience in IT or Services organisations is a plus.

 • The ideal candidate demonstrates critical thinking, judgment, coaching and influencing skills that converge to create executive presence.

• You communicate effectively in all mediums, especially in stressful situations, and demonstrate a desire to play a critical and integral role in the client organization.

• Able to negotiate, influence and resolve controversial, high-impact human resources issues; may lead human resources strategy discussions and generate plans for implementation in accordance with Cisco objectives; pursue and implement new business opportunities.
