What You'll Do

Cisco’s Global Security Sales Organization (GSSO) seeks a Regional Sales Manager for the Global Service Provider Asia Pacific-Japan (APJ) Theater. This is the fastest growing GSP GSSO theatre.  The potential leader will lead a team in “selling big” by aligning to customers desired business outcomes, resulting in closing multi-million dollar product and services sales across the entire Cisco security portfolio. This position requires a strong background in executive-level communication, building customer and partner relationships, account planning and management. This role involves positioning and promoting the Service Provider value proposition for Cisco's Security Architecture aligned to customers desired business outcome.

You will lead Security Account Manager’s (SAM) in the development and expansion of opportunities, and reinforcing existing relationships, especially Chief Security Officer’s (CSO). The ideal candidate possesses strategic business and technical knowledge, and can succeed as a leader and mentor in a demanding and rewarding sales environment. This candidate will align with the entire GSP APJ theater leadership by a consultant driven, result oriented success’s and most importantly how the team can “secure everything” by sharing Security Best Practices. This is a great opportunity to align your sales leadership experience working with great sales teams and solutions in selling Cisco's Security Architecture. 

In this role as RM, you will develop and foster a team culture to leverage the “Power of Cisco“ by partnering with the Cisco GSP Account Teams. The leader will lead a team of security specialist that sell across the entire security portfolio, leveraging Cisco Service Provider architectures in IT, Production and Managed Services. You will need to execute sales strategies and tactics that maximize Cisco's opportunity within the customer environment with a focus on solution selling (focused on customers desired business outcomes), including Advanced Services and software. Along with sales planning, this position is responsible for accurate forecasting of products and services. Direct customer/partner contact will comprise a major portion of this assignment. The candidate must have the sales skills and technical knowledge of the Service Provider market. Strong presentation skills and the ability to lead customer discussions are a must.. This RM will work closely with various Security Business group leadership. 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for exceeding revenue quota over $50M
  • Lead a team of Security Account Manager’s (SAM’s) in developing and executing sales strategy and action that maximizes Cisco opportunity within the customer environment 
  • Experience selling security solutions, License Agreements (ELA’s) and Advanced Services
  • Work collaboratively with Cisco Global Service Provider Account Teams, Platform Teams, Advanced Services and Partners

Who You Are

  • BA degree - MBA or graduate degree preferred
  • 5+ years sales management of a Security technical sales organization that includes account managers and systems engineers
  • 10+ years of sales experience
  • Specific examples of closing large, strategic deals
  • Knowledge of  Global Service Provider market trends
  • Strong leadership skills in a cross-functional teaming environment
  • Strategic Security technical knowledge
  • Demonstrated successes as a sales leader and mentor in a demanding and rewarding sales environment
  • Ability to lead a dispersed account team with both direct and indirect reports
