What you’ll do

Cisco seeks a Regional Sales Manager for driving business through State Govt. & Dept. of Telecom. Requirements include a strong background in executive-level communication, building customer and partner relationships and account planning. This role involves positioning and promoting the partner and customer value proposition for Cisco's solutions in Public Sector ,the development and expansion of opportunities, and reinforcing existing relationships. The ideal candidate possesses strategic business and technical knowledge, and can succeed as a leader and mentor in a demanding and rewarding sales environment. Who you’ll work with

Will be responsible for an annual booking/revenue quota of $100+M with significant growth in subsequent years. Develop and execute sales strategy and tactics that maximize Cisco opportunity within the customer environment. Lead a strong sales team to achieve and exceed sales quota and provide mentoring and coaching to the team on a regular basis. This position is responsible for accurate forecasting and managing health of business by delivering on all business parameters. Direct customer contact will comprise a major portion of this assignment. Must have both the sales skills and technical knowledge to make presentations and lead customer discussions to advance the sales process. Extensive travel may be required. Must be able to lead a geographically dispersed team, with both direct and indirect reports. Will need to make important resource decisions that apply both corporate and account team resources to new opportunities. Will work closely with various stakeholders in Channels, architectures, corporate affairs etc.  

Who you Are

An MBA or graduate degree preferred. Sales management in similar business environment of Public Sector. 17+ years of sales experience. Specific examples of closing large, strategic deals. Knowledge of market trends and strong connects in State Ministries and Telecom establishments.. Strong leadership skills in a cross-functional teaming environment. Selling solutions to large customers.. Developing customer relationships. Understanding a broad range of Cisco technologies required
