Why Join Prudential?

Prudential is a company of smart, ambitious professionals working together across a multitude of disciplines. Together, we are building a better financial future for our customers and our communities around the globe.  At Prudential, we understand that a company is only as good as its people. This simple fact is central to all that we do.  We call it “the Talent Mindset” – a company-wide commitment to attract and develop the dedicated professionals whose insights, innovation, and hard work fuel our success and make us a global leader in financial services.

As a Regional Marketing Specialist (RMS), you will be a key driver of Prudential's success in wholesaling life insurance in Southern California and Arizona. While working in the Prudential Advisor channel, you will be responsible for growing life premium within our newest population of producers, deepening penetration within their assigned firms and promoting Prudential's strengths. You will achieve these results through group and one-on-on training and assisting producers with how to get started with life insurance sales. The RMS team provides significant brand exposure in the firms of our Prudential Advisor channel, generates leads for the Regional Vice Presidents (RVP) and creates a significant revenue stream for Individual Life.

  • Sales calls (group and individual meetings with producers) focused on new producer education, identifying and closing transactional sales, and uncovering referrals for the RVP
  • Conducting point of sale meetings with financial advisors
  • Deliver polished group presentations
  • Host continuing education classes
  • Educate producers on the value life insurance can bring to their business
  • Attend local agency leadership meetings
  • Market life insurance planning concepts
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key centers of influence (i.e., Prudential Advisor leadership teams)
  • Increase market share
  • Producer development (through phone calls), including meeting follow up, prospecting new opportunities and thank you calls
  • Administrative tasks, such as scheduling, illustrations, and appointment tracking and sales reporting

Does this sound like you?  Our successful candidate has:

  • Minimum one year successful life insurance sales experience (internal or external) OR successfully participated in Individual Life's Life Sales Academy with demonstrated readiness for progression to RMS
  • Residence in or willing to relocate to Southern California
  • Series 6/7 and Series 63/66 Registrations and State Insurance License (must be obtained within 180 days of employment)
  • High level presentation skills
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% - 75% of the time

Preferred Experience and Education

  • 3 years successful life insurance sales experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Marketing, Sales or Communications
  • Advanced designations (CLU, ChFC, CFP)
