Over sees multiple Territory Sales Managers and their territories to guide recruiting, training and supervising of independent agents / agencies primarily focused in the Medicare Advantage market. This leadership position provides strategic direction and decisions in order to achieve assigned sales / membership growth targets in assigned region covering multiple states, carriers and providers.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage Territory Sales Managers and assigned region and states
  • Achieve assigned sales / membership growth targets
  • Provide strategic direction and decisions for Territory Managers in order to recruit, build and nurture independent agent / agency relationships
  • Provide strategic knowledge and direction to leadership regarding key carrier and provider relationships
  • Provide support for a structured onboarding process, leveraging corporate contracting, certification and training processes, tools and systems
  • Ensure formal and on - the - job training to ensure an accurate understanding of offered products, compliance/policy requirements, sales processes, brand and value proposition messages and sales systems
  • Ensure Territory Managers appropriately build and advance our brand and value proposition and represent our product portfolio and service offerings
  • Organize Territory Manager activities to ensure effective and efficient coordination across the region
  • Act as a liaison between Territory Managers and sales process leaders to ensure agents / agencies are appropriately set up and supported across their lifecycle. This includes, contracting, licensing / appointment, certification, training, enrollment administration, commission payment, agent servicing and compliance
  • Coach and manage Territory Managers using data and insights to achieve quantitative and qualitative performance targets
  • Evaluate ride - along assessments to ensure sales techniques / professionalism and strict adherence to CMS compliance regulations
  • Conduct regular Territory Manager and agency meetings to review sales results / activities and provide feedback / coaching on opportunities for improvement
  • Develop relationships to enhance overall regional area marketing and leverage best practices. Some examples include hospitals, clinics, senior centers, local associations, etc.
  • Coordinate and manage regional marketing events
