Cisco seeks for a Regional Sales Manager.

  • Develop deep relationships with key senior executives (on the business side typically Ministers and Secretaries of State at the Federal level, Governors and City Mayors at the State and Municipal levels respectively; on the technology side with their respective CIO/ CTOs and Presidents and Directors of Public Sector System Integrators across all layers of Government.
  • Drive deep dive consulting engagements that help key Public Sector agencies improve their effectiveness and efficiency by leveraging ICT appropriately.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in technology-enabled Public Sector Transformation & Reform- establishing reputation for unique and insightful point of view on the issues that are transforming the sector.
  • Build demand and accelerate demand for Cisco's creative end-to-end solutions for the Public Sector in partnership with the Public Sector Vertical Sales Team.
  • Support senior executives at Cisco and account teams in developing the Cisco strategy and the operational plan for accelerated growth in the market.

This role is and will be at the forefront of Cisco's strategic market-shaping activities in Mexico over the coming years.


Typically requires BA/BS in engineering/ economics/ business administration with Honors or equivalent. A MBA in a top international business school is a strong requirement. In replacement of a MBA above, a Master in Public Sector Adm/Reform of a top international school is also acceptable.


Seasoned business executive with 10 years experience working with CxOs (business and technology) to solve strategy and operational challenges in the Services Industries where technology is key for competitive advantage. Track record of cultivating C-Level relationships in both Brazil and internationally. Able to build trust through personal presence and insightful thought leadership. Circa 6+ years experience in strategic management consulting in a top strategy management consulting firm dealing with bridging the gap between business and technology strategies. Minimum level equivalent to Senior Manager or Director in consulting company. Proven ability to build practical bridges between vision, strategy and execution. Requires overall, deep understanding of business strategy, business processes, technology implications and operations. Technically savvy, with high level understanding of technology architecture /networking technologies and the key applications they enable.

Highly analytical, ability to work in cross-functional organizations and across other Private Sector organizations/ NGOs, customer centric approach, results-oriented performance and innovative approach to problem solving. A highly motivated self-starter with very strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to work in a matrix organization with no direct reports. Proven ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and be recognized as a top quality team player and collaborator.

Candidates should be fluent in Spanish and English.
