We are in search of a Registered Behavior Technician for our Behavior Therapy program in the Tidewater, VA area. The potential candidate will be responsible for the following duties: *Work under the supervision of the Behavioral Therapy Supervisor and/or LBA, works one-on-one with children in accordance with the Behavioral Plan and gathers behavioral data necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of the behavioral plan. Serves as a role model for residents to observe and learn socially effective values, attitudes and behaviors. Ensures environment remains safe and normative culture remains positive throughout facility. Maintains patient safety, contributes to formulation, implementation and revision of the resident individual treatment plan. *Works one-on-one with children and their family in the child?s home or in places where the family would typically be so that their daily life is supported in accordance with their behavioral plan to increase appropriate social and communicative interactions and pivotal responses within a social framework and increase adaptive functioning and decrease maladaptive behaviors using systematic interventions prescribed by the LBA . *Gathers and document a child?s progress towards achieving behavioral objectives through data collection, analysis and reporting of quantifiable behavioral data behavioral data necessary for the LBA to evaluate the effectiveness of the behavioral plan. A copy of this data must be maintained in the clinical record. *Create and/ or locate materials to support teaching prescribed on the child?s behavior plan or individualized procedure plans created by the LBA.
