Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Full-Time Registered Dietitian to come join the team at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, located in downtown Los Angeles, CA that offers a flexible schedule.

 

Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center is a 434 acute care community hospital, with more than 500 physicians representing virtually every specialty. The dietitian may provide clinical services in several ICUs, Medical / Surgical units, a NICU, short-term Rehab program and in a long term care center.

The ideal candidate will:

 

  • Be a registered dietitian; experience preferred
  • Be eager to learn, reliable, pleasant, enthusiasm and can work independently to provide inpatient nutrition care in a variety of patient units
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and teamwork
  • Have experience utilizing the nutrition care process and electronic medical records charting

 

 

Position Summary

Provides comprehensive nutrition assessments and care planning for patients.Instructs patients in principles of nutrition and modifications of normal diet.Performs routine care responsibilities without training and direction. Acts as resource to professional staff and diet office personnel, and participates in Performance Improvement projects.

Key Duties
-Provides nutrition care to population served to ensure needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
-Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexho resource when necessary.
-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
-Follows operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Functional Experience -  Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
