    Sodexo is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to come join the team of Registered Dietitians at Methodist Hospital in Merrillville, IN.

    We are looking for candidates who will:

    • Work as part of a RD team to provide nutritional care to acute care patients on a medical and surgical unit.
    • Participate in cross coverage for all service lines as required
    • Participate in community events as required
    • Educate patients and family members as well as facility staff in concepts of nutrition and diet modifications.


    The ideal candidate will have/be:

    • familiarity with the Nutrition Care Process and Electronic Health Records is preferred at the unit;
    • strong comprehension of the principles of clinical nutrition practice;
    • a Registered Dietitian, eligible for licensure in the state if applicable; and
    • the ability to meet DOH/state/federal and company standards.
    • possess strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
    • have a passion for driving and improving the patient experience.

    Position Summary

    Responsible for providing direct basic nutrition services
    Key Duties
    -Provides nutrition care to population served to ensure needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
    -Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
    -Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
    -Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexho resource when necessary.
    -Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
    -Follows operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..


    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

    Basic Functional Experience -  Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
