Sodexo is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian for Redlands Community Hospital (RCH)  a 229-bed facility located in Southern California, mid-way between Los Angeles and Palm Springs.

 Reporting to the General Manager, the selected candidate will:


  • Be a registered dietitian in an acute care setting and will work a scheduled 2 days/16 hours a week (Monday and Friday) ideally there will also be availability on additional days, if needed to cover for any time off. 
  • maintain responsibility for conducting nutrition care and patient assessments to the inpatient patient population with a variety of disease states as needed
  • Have experience utilizing the nutrition care process, electronic medical records charting-Meditech program
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Be able to work well with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff and collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently and be outcome focused
  • Have excellent time management skills and be a self-starter
  • The ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate in Spanish and assist in assessing and educating patient population

Position Summary

Responsible for providing direct basic nutrition services
Key Duties
-Provides nutrition care to population served to ensure needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
-Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexho resource when necessary.
-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
-Follows operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..


Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Functional Experience -  Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
