Riveredge Hospital is a Joint Commission approved and state licensed facility focused on short-term crisis stabilization programs. As a leader in behavioral health with in UHS and in the Chicago area. We are dedicated to our teamwork approach and provide a compassionate and therapeutic environment, as well as offering a continuum of specialty programs throughout our inpatient, residential, partial and outpatient services. We provide fully accredited educational programs, comprehensive Behavioral Health services, along with an array of additional services, while utilizing a holistic and compassionate treatment approach.

Riveredge Hospital is seeking full-time Registered Nurses to work with children, adolescents and adults within our nursing department. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a stable and growing behavioral health organization in the Chicagoland community. A Registered Nurse at Riveredge Hospital provides professional nursing care in a manner that is consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the Hospital. Registered Nurses prescribe, coordinate and delegate nursing care by integrating the nursing processes into our multidisciplinary treatment team’s plan of care. A Registered Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities, maintaining all required records, and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practices on the unit. A Registered Nurse may also assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed. We offer shift differentials for our Registered Nurses.


Job Requirements

Education: Graduate from a professional nursing program. Experience: One-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing preferred licensure.

Maintains compliance with all Hospital annual competencies as well as CPR, and designated protective intervention program.  Thoroughly understands the management of the patient milieu including age specific and cultural requirements and has knowledge of JCAHO, CMS, OSHA regulations and all other relevant state and federal regulatory standards
