Texoma Medical Center, a 288-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. In addition, we have numerous facilities in locations throughout the Texoma region. Since 1965, TMC has forged a special relationship with the people of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. Position Summary: Provide skilled nursing in patient's home setting, according to the physician's Plan of Care, managing all aspects of patient needs with continued high quality care.




Education and formal training:

Registered Nurse with valid Texas and Oklahoma license; current Driver's License, CPR Certified, Auto liability insurance.


Work Experience:

One year Medical-Surgical experience in acute care setting.


Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

Excellent clinical skills; secure in decision making and working independently; excellent organization skills.  Must demonstrate a knowledge of and exhibit skills in treating all age groups including adolescents, and geriatrics.  Must be able communicate effectively in oral and written forms.  Must be able to establish and maintain professional working relationships with patients, families, other professionals as well as fellow employees.   Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines/requirements for home health.


Physical Requirements:

Driving in adverse weather conditions; exposure to infectious diseases; body fluids, unsanitary and unsafe environments; animals; inefficient heating and cooling systems in patient homes.  Lifting and positioning patients.
