Job Description

Join our SWHS team of Professionals!

SWHS consists of two acute-care hospitals:  Inland Valley Medical Center and Rancho Springs Medical Center. 

Inland Valley Medical Center

A 122 bed acute care hospital which features the regions only Level II Trauma Unit and is the county-designated Paramedical Base station and Southwest Riverside County’s only Center of Excellence in Weight Loss Surgery.

Rancho Springs Medical Center

A 120 bed acute care hospital which includes the region’s largest birthing center along with the area’s only NICU in combination with Rady Children’s Hospital and the region’s  first da Vinci Robotic Surgical Program.

Staff Registered Nurses are responsible for providing excellence in patient care, collaborative and comprehensive care based on patient and/or family needs, providing assessments, treatment and care on assigned units. Staff Registered Nurses will also practice in accordance with all regulatory, professional, legal and hospital policies as well as consistently demonstrate behaviors that model the SWHS Core Values and the hospitals mission statement.

Job Requirements

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area (BSA), circumference and volume.
  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
  • One year experience as a Registered Nurse in Labor/Delivery and Nursery preferred.
  • One year experience as a Registered Nurse in Post Partum, preferred.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program.

REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS
  • California RN license.
  • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring. Successful completion of course every two years.  (Basic class within training program Intermediate or Advanced within 6 month of hire into a training program).
  • NRP Successful completion of course of the AAP and AHA.
  • ACLS (Within 90 days of hire into a training program).
  • BLS
