Texas NeuroRehab Center (TNC) provides complex medical and brain
injury rehab, chemical dependency treatment for adults and
neuropsychiatric treatment for youth. The capabilities of the
facility as a whole allow for integrated and specialized care for
children, adolescents and adults facing difficult challenges.
Texas NeuroRehab Center is currently accepting applications
for a Registered Nurse (RN). RNs provide direct patient care and
medical management and assessment of the patients. A Registered Nurse
ensures environmental safety and crisis management for the patient
population, and directs the implementation of behavior management
program to ensure consistent carry-through.
Duties and Responsibilities
nursing admission assessment of the patient within 8º.
Pain, nutrition, and safety issues are assessed during admission
& if identified as problems are included as nursing diagnoses in
the nursing care plan.
Identifies nursing diagnoses (to include
knowledge deficit, as well as pain & potential for injury if
identified), writes the Nursing Care Plan, and obtains the
physician’s signature within 24º.
Ensures that the
patient orientation to the unit is completed within 8º, to
Inventory of possessions, explanation of rights, pain
management, and safety.
Assesses and documents findings when
patient condition changes.
Communicates changes in patient
status to physician and treatment team.
progress clearly, accurately, legibly, and concisely.

Education and Training
Graduate of an
accredited school of nursing
Licensure and/or Certification
State of Texas Registered Nurse License
RN,C; CRRN preferred
One year of inpatient medical
surgery, rehabilitation, or psychiatric experience preferred
Able to sustain physical
activity throughout scheduled shift
Able to remain on feet
throughout scheduled shift
Able to physically restrain patients
by individual or team restraint per policy
Able to lift, carry,
and lower 50 pounds without assistance
