The hospital is located in southwest Houston serving the Houston and surrounding communities. BHB is conveniently located between the Galleria and Meyerland shopping districts as well as only minutes away from the Houston Medical Center, Downtown and Midtown.

Position Summary:

Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking dedicated and talented Registered Nurses (R.N) to prescribe, coordinate and delegate nursing care by integrating the nursing processes into our multidisciplinary treatment team’s plan of care. The Registered Nurse is responsible for assigned nursing care activities, maintaining all required records, and for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practices on the unit.

Job Requirements

Education: Graduate from a professional nursing program.

 

Experience: One-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing preferred. New Grads Welcome!

 

Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.

 

Certifications: Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation.

 

Knowledge/Skills: Possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships, and behavior management.
