Cumberland Hospital for Children and Adolescents, located in New Kent, Virginia (between Williamsburg and Richmond), offers inpatient services as well as residential treatment and group homes for individuals, ages 2-22. We understand the unique psychological, social and behavioral challenges that often interfere with successful treatment of chronic disease, brain injury, neurological impairment and other medical conditions. Cumberland Hospital for Children and Adolescents doesn’t look like a hospital because it isn’t like most hospitals. Rehab Aide - PRN

 

 Essential Job Duties:

·         Perform routine tasks related to the operation of the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Language Pathology disciplines;To assure the safety and efficiency of the rehabilitation environment and to perform patient-related tasks.

·         Under direct supervision, assists in provision of rehabilitation activities and carry over of treatment plan goals and objectives.

·         Assists therapists in direct treatment of patients.

·         To accurately observe and record patient responses to treatment in timely manner; To effectively cope with emotional and behavioral changes that patients exhibit.

 

Job Requirements

Education: 

High School Diploma or GED required; College level preferred.

 

Physical Requirements:

·         Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

·         80-90% of the time, the incumbent is standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching while working with patients.

·         Requires full range of body motion including handling and physical restraint of patients.

·         Ability to perform CPR and First Aid.
