The Relationship Manager is a professional level position that requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

This role is responsible for building new relationships and enhancing existing relationships with retirement plan clients and key intermediaries, ensuring client satisfaction through frequent client meetings and discussions covering plan design, plan utilization, client retention, product offerings, plan economics, and employee education. The Relationship Manager will partner closely with our sales, recordkeeping and operations associates, and will be required to participate in sales finals presentations. This job is an exempt level and is not eligible for overtime.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years of related relationship management or plan administrative experience; possess strong verbal and written communications skills, knowledge of the retirement industry and the ability to deliver positive and measurable results.  

  • 3 or more years of related relationship management or plan administrative experience
  • B.A or B.S degree is required or equivalent retirement industry work experience (advance degrees or retirement industry designations are a plus)
  • Defined Benefit or Non-Qualified experience is a plus
  • FINRA Series 6, 63, and State Life Insurance licensing is required and must be obtained within 120 days of employment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation and consultative selling skills (sales experience is a plus)
  • Strong commitment to timing and quality standards
  • Proven analytical and technical skills
  • Proven ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proven ability to take initiative and lead
  • Proven organizational skills and prioritization skills
  • Must be able to work independently and be a team player
  • Must be able to think quickly under stressful situations
  • Must be able to communicate ideas in a clear, concise, and articulate manner
  • Must be able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
  • Ability to travel 25% - 35% of the time
