*Role Description*

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for providing the technical program leadership and implementation activities to maximize the maintenance related uptime and operating efficiencies of equipment and facility assets in compliance with cGMP requirements and the Occupational Health and Safety Act for a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility as part of a dedicated team bringing lifesaving penicillin treatments to our patients.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*Promotes the use of Reliability Engineering concepts and tools to the Engineering and Production departments *Performs reliability analysis to identify root causes of chronic ongoing equipment issues.*Develops equipment reliability plans that reduce the number of failures and minimizes the effects of failures that do occur. Revises and creates preventative maintenance plans in EAMS.*Ensures PM and calibration compliance with cGMP, contemporary technologies and best aseptic practices.*Schedules PMs and Calibrations ensuring right balance with time, quality and resources.*Manages spare parts inventory system adding parts, defining criticality, tracking stock levels*Facilitates tools, spare parts and contractor availability*Ensures compliance by documenting and investigating alarms and work order anomalies*Responsible for accuracy and compliance of maintenance standard operating procedures*Supports Maintenance Team Leader on investigations and change controls*Partners with Production and Quality Team Leads on troubleshooting and scheduling.


Education: Required-Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related fieldExperience:Minimum of 3 years' experience in pharmaceutical facilities and equipment-Experience in reliability based maintenance practices-Knowledge of GMP, OSHA and FDA regulations applicable to the pharmaceutical industry-Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.-Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS This position is in a Penicillin Facility. The candidate must NOT be allergic to Penicillin.Collects and researches data; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; approaches problems objectively and systematically; draws accurate conclusions from complex information.NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS At different times of the year, this position will work long hours for scheduled manufacturing shutdown periods and throughout the year may be required to work late with little notice as need arises when equipment is unexpectedly down. This position will be on-call screening alarms and dispatching technicians 24/7 on a rotating schedule with other colleagues.Limited travel may be required.
