Reporting & Data Analyst
Position Summary

The Reporting & Data Analyst for is responsible for collecting and organizing business data and working with various internal teams and customers. This position will analyze, scope, develop and implement standard and custom reporting, working with business users cross-functionally to deliver the end product. The Analyst will be the primary point of contact for custom reports, supporting end users and maintaining a reporting library.
The candidate should have a strong working knowledge business intelligence fundamentals, data reporting, data schemas, building reports, and providing actionable solutions. The Report Analyst will work collaboratively with the Senior Director of Performance Management and AVP, Operations, along with other operations and product development teams, to understand our data and ensure that the functionality and delivery is consistent and effective. 
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work and contribute in a team environment are essential. The Reporting Analyst must have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Primary duties and responsibilities
  • Work closely and interact directly with stakeholders, users, developers, and other business units to identify, interpret, and document report requirements
  • Create queries to provide ad-hoc reports, analysis, and datasets based on business needs
  • Troubleshoot data issues, validate result sets, perform unit testing
  • Recommend and implement process improvements related to report delivery, reporting management and best practices
  • Provide development estimates on projects and tasks
  • Work with product managers to define reporting needs
  • Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of Connect CRM and DealerTrack F&I applications and customer needs, as well as other business units within Cox Automotive
  • Manage individual work load and assist with defining and prioritizing tasks
  • Define acceptance criteria for reporting needs, and if needed, perform UAT activities to ensure accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple assignments, activities or projects
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment where information must be readily digested and decisions made expeditiously
  • Must have excellent critical thinking skills - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Possess a willingness to learn new technology and stay abreast of reporting technology trends


Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience required
  • 1 year experience in data analysis, development, reporting, or business intelligence
  • 1+ years working with SQL Server
  • Proficient skills and experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL, and other reporting tools.
  • Preferred Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Automotive industry
    • Finance/Lending industry
    • CRM
