Description

The Manager, Reporting & Capabilities will be responsible for the oversight of HR data quality, design & delivery of reporting and analytics dashboards to drive insights for Human Resources. The person in this role will be responsible for creating data reports and dashboard, as well reporting on key workforce related trends, issues, and opportunities to executive and senior leadership. This person will need to apply critical judgment to how we leverage data, and which data to activate in our analysis and insights. Development and analytical skillsets will be imperative in this role. The ability to develop strong relationships with our Business and HR communities is critical, and will be fortified by this role proactively bringing key metrics to the table.

This person will be part of the Workforce Solutions team within Human Resources. This role will work very closely with the CMG Technology, Finance and other Cox support groups, and other key partners to Human Resources. This person will be responsible for providing guidance related to data, identifying data requirements and overseeing the development and adoption of key enabling technologies (reporting platforms, data environments, visualization tools, etc.). This person will also champion the adoption of key reporting tools and data discovery, such as Oracle (OBIEE) or Tableau, for self-service. This role will supervise projects and contract resources.
The Manager, Reporting & Insights will report to the Sr. Director, Workforce Solutions in HR.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide workforce reporting in support of business units and functions
  • Development and management of reporting platforms
  • Ownership of people data for Cox Media Group and represent needs on enterprise initiatives
  • Drive adoption under key reporting tools and standardized views
  • Strategic consultation with the Human Resources team
  • Leverage analytics skillset: find data correlations and conduct key driver analyses
  • Leverage analytics tools for data visualization and prototypes
  • Act as liaison between HR technology teams at Cox Enterprises and Cox Media Group
  • Promote strong collaboration with Cox HR and technology partners
  • Manage and prioritize an active pipeline of ad hoc requests
  • Lead change for Human Resources Initiatives
  • Manage and inspires project teams
  • Provides oversight and management of contract resources and professional services

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science or Mathematics preferred.
  • Highly proficient in advanced techniques of SQL and MS Excel (Pivot, Macro, etc).
  • Technical experience with ERP systems, Oracle products (PeopleSoft HCM, Taleo, Fusion, OBIEE), and other reporting tools (Tableau) strongly preferred
  • Ability to understand data and clearly communicate relevant and meaningful insights
  • Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Must have deep understanding of data, measurement, reporting, and analytics, and experience working with Business Intelligence groups
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to clearly communicate technical information to a wide range of audiences.
  • Strong project management skills 
  • Experience interacting with all levels of management including C-suite executives
  • Demonstrated ability and proven experience communicating, influencing and presenting to all levels of management, including senior executives
  • Ability to drive strategies and actions with fact-based assessments of data and trends
  • Demonstrated ability to build constructive, collaborative business relationships across cultures and organization levels
  • Experienced in and passionate about employee & leadership development; knowledgeable and a proven track record of influencing best practices in the field
  • Ability to work with highly sensitive data and maintain confidentiality
  • Experience working as a strategic and tactical business partner across the company 
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive business data
