Cox Automotive is currently looking for a Research Analyst II to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia.

Your Role:

The Research and Market Intelligence group is tasked with anticipating and understanding consumer and dealer needs and competitive threats to provide solutions that create value to the Cox Automotive organization.  This position reports to the Director of Industry Intelligence and is responsible for supporting the development and management of market research and competitive intelligence analysis to support Media Solutions internal and external clients.  This individual will leverage a variety of data resources, including syndicated research, primary research data, site metrics, and other external sources to support Media group’s product, marketing and sales efforts.

Job Summary:

  • Act as interface between Research and Market Intelligence and the Media group’s product, marketing and sales teams, by supporting the Industry Intelligence teams’ leadership and consulting with clients through face-to-face meetings and presentations.
  • Help assess key issues and identify research solutions for the Media group’s product, marketing and sales teams by gathering and analyzing research data and competitive intelligence and subsequently support the production of client-facing deliverables.  Work product will provide insights into industry trends and shifts, market share, and other key metrics; this information will play a critical role in helping shape the future of Cox Automotive and related Business Units.
  • Assist in monitoring key competitor activities via press releases, earnings calls, and industry publications. Develop and evaluate efficient methods and procedures for selecting, collecting, scrubbing, storing and accessing relevant industry data and competitive intelligence to feed MI team insights processes and deliverables.  Develop timeline and requirements for regularly published market and competitive intelligence updates and communications, in line with and anticipating the needs of our stakeholders
  • Produce executive summaries, alerts, and povs on competitor activities relevant to the business.  Interpret analytical findings relative to the strategic objectives of the company and Market Intelligence clients.
  • Support the Industry Intelligence team during industry events such as NADA and Digital Dealer.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the advertising and/or automotive industries
  • Strong interpersonal skills- the ability to build trust with clients and develop partnership
  • Motivated learner with a high level of intellectual curiosity and drive to explore data
  • Experience with leveraging qualitative and quantitative primary research for insights and drawing out the implications for the business
  • Ability to collect, analyze and integrate data from multiple sources into concise, compelling and actionable deliverables

Education:

  • B.S. / B.A. degree required in either Research, Marketing, Media or related fields
  • Advanced degree preferred (M.S., MBA or PhD) with concentration in marketing or research preferred
