Unit Description

Sodexo Health Care Services provides essential food and facilities services to hospitals across the country. We have an exciting new opportunity in for a Food Service Retail Manager at Texoma Medical Center, a 243 bed facility located in Denison, TX, just south of the Oklahoma border surrounded by beautiful Lake Texoma. 


Retail operations include catering using Catrtrax, a Starbucks kiosk, and a very busy cafeteria. Limited oversite of a small Behavioral Hospital located about 8 miles from the main campus.


Future expansion of the retail operations and kitchen may occur in the next year.


This position will manager up to 22 employees in all retail operations. Assistance with inventory controls and food production processes is a requirement at this account.


As our Food Service Retail Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing/Managing Sodexo retail food programs and practices
  • Ensuring compliance with HACCP protocols and menu systems
  • Cash management and cash controls
  • Opening and closing duties for the café

Ideal candidate qualifications include current experience managing a retail food operations, excellent customer service and communication skills, self-motivation and self-directed, time management, organizational and computer skills. Additional qualifications we seek include computer literacy, full HACCP knowledge and ServSafe certification. Prior food service supervisory experience in a healthcare environment strongly preferred.

Position Summary

Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly & supervisory food service workers.
Key Duties
- Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.
- Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.
- Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.
- Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.
- Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.
- Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers. 



Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
