Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a talented experienced Retail Manager 2 for Liberty University located in the beautiful background of the Blue Ridge Mountains  Lynchburg, VA.

 

The Retail Manager 2 will oversee 6 retail locations (which includes in-house as well as national brands) in our Montview Student Union  Center. Position will manage up to 100 hourly retail employees and supervisors, and a combined managed volume of $4.5 million in revenue.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • College/University high-volume retail food service management experience.
  • Experience training and directing a talented and diverse staff
  • Strong financial acumen, P & L experience and managing budgets.
  • Experience managing multiple food retail outlets and national brand concepts.
  • Innovation and ability to grow revenue and manage cost.
  • Customer driven and strong track record in organizational development.
  • Superior client relations skills and executive presence.

Position Summary

Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly & supervisory food service workers.
Key Duties
- Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.
- Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.
- Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.
- Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.
- Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.
- Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers. 
 

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
