Sodexo Dining Services is seeking is seeking a motivated Retail Manager 2 to oversee an Einstein’s Brothers Bagels and We Proudly Brew Starbucks at Georgia College and State University, in Historic Milledgeville, GA. Einstein’s is located in the Student Union, and is a fast paced breakfast venue. The We Proudly Brew Starbuck is located in the heart of campus on the first floor of the library. The Retail Manager works closely with the Director of Operations and General Manager on campus to ensure customer service excellence. Position has oversight for a staff of 20 (including part-time students and full-time employees).

Typical work schedule will be Sunday through Thursday with the need to be flexible depending on business needs.

 

 

We are looking for candidates who will manage:

  • frontline staff;
  • cash handing process;
  • department HACCP and safety programs for regulatory compliance;
  • frontline training programs;
  • opening and closing the operation; and
  • daily operation standards.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proven client relationship skills
  • Successful customer service skills

The best qualified candidate will have the following:

  • College/University Einstien’s or Starbucks-specific management experience
  • Experience training and leading a retail food staff
  • Experience with purchasing, food/labor costs and managing budgets
  • Experience with food and physical safety programs
  • Experience with service standards and customer satisfaction

Position Summary

Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly & supervisory food service workers.
Key Duties
- Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.
- Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.
- Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.
- Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.
- Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.
- Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers. 
 

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
