Unit Description

Sodexo currently has an opening for a Retail Manager 3 at Beaumont Health in Farmington Hills, Michigan, formerly Botsford Hospital. The hospital is a 330 bed level two Trauma Center currently adding a new tower for conversion to private rooms and the addition of two additional retail food service outlets. 

 

Seeking a motivated, skilled professional with a minimum of 2 years of retail food service management experience in a high volume environment. The Retail Manager will support a cafe, Doctor's Dining Room, a coffee outlet and catering.

 

The ideal Retail Manager candidates will possess the following skills/ attributes:.

  • Retail food service experience preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to manage a staff of up to 20 staff in a union environment
  • Solid cash handling skills
  • Experience with ordering and inventory
  • Ability to control food and labor costs
  • A solid understanding of HACCP requirements
  • Experience with Sodexo's Menu Graphics (SMG) Food Management System (FMS) and Market Connections or similar programs
  • Solid communication and customer service skills

Position Summary

Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly and supervisory food service workers, as well as other managers.
Key Duties
- Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.
- Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.
- Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.
- Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.
- Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.
- Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers, supervisors & managers. 

 

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations
