Sodexo currently has a job opportunity for a Retail Manager 3 to join our team at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital-Lake St. Louis.  St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis offers western St. Charles County residents exceptional health care close to home. The 215-bed hospital is a state-designated Level III Trauma Center and specializes in obstetric and pediatric care, as well as many other specialties.  The Retail Manager will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for the execution of day to day retail operations for the hospital.


Job responsibilities include:

  • Conducting all retail operations marketing activities.
  • Responsible for merchandising and promotion of sales.
  • Overseeing cash management in retail food operations.
  • Reporting through the Point of Sales system.
  • Ensuring compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards at all levels.
  • EcoSure/Gold Check audit compliance
  • Ensuring compliance to Sodexo operating policies and procedures and works to maintain those standards.
  • This is a very hands on position, with the manager assisting in rush periods. This position will work collaboratively with the Sodexo management team to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction through exceptional execution and delivery of the food service operation     #LI

Position Summary

Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly and supervisory food service workers, as well as other managers.
Key Duties
- Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.
- Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.
- Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.
- Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.
- Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.
- Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers, supervisors & managers. 




Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations
