Unit Description

Sodexo currently has a Retail Food Service Manager opening on the campus of Stevenson University in Owings Mills,MD. In this lead role, you will be responsible for oversight of multiple concepts, including Sodexo Retail Food brands Pandini's, Jazzmans as well as concessions spread across campus. The Retail Manager will have full responsibility for HACCP/Sanitation, cost controls and staffing. Customer service and client relations/satisfaction are top priorities!

 

 

The best qualified candidates will have the following:

 - College/University retail food service management experience

 - Experience with multi-unit, retail food concepts

 - Experience with Concessions

 - Experience with brand standards

 - Experience training and leading a retail food staff (union experience is helpful)

 - Cash control and cash handling experience

 - Scheduling and Payroll

 - Strong financial skills and overall food service management experience at large venues;

 - Experience with ordering and inventory

 - Marketing

 - Ability to manage multiple and often conflicting priorities, meet deadlines and pro-actively address account needs.

 - Safety and sanitation training

Position Summary

Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly and supervisory food service workers, as well as other managers.
Key Duties
- Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.
- Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.
- Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.
- Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.
- Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.
- Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers, supervisors & managers. 

 

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations
