Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Retail Director for $2MM food court with multiple local and national brands as well as in house concepts.  Also oversees light night dining diner on campus.  This position is for a Sodexo University account in New Orleans, LA. 

 

We are seeking a proven professional to lead our retail operations at Tulane University.  The Retail food court was rebuilt and reopened in the Fall of 2016.  Operations include internal Sodexo brands as well as a Panera, Star Ginger, and Freshens.  Also in the same building is our late night dining option that does $650K in annual revenue.  This position has a supporting team of an Executive Chef, Retail Manager and Supervisors.  This new food-court is in the heart of campus and Client interaction is daily.  Strong revenue driving skills as well as team and staff development is a must.

Position Summary

Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly and supervisory food service workers, as well as other managers.
Key Duties
-Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.
-Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.
-Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.
-Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.
-Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.
-Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers, supervisors & managers.

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree 

Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in retail operations
