Revenue Recognition Analyst

What You'll Do
You'll partner with Sales Controllers and Corporate Revenue to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment in compliance with the Company's revenue recognition policy and US GAAP. You will be supporting the Revenue accounting close process, forecasting and participating in close related functions including preparation of journal entries account reconciliations and the generation of key month end reports; Assisting in the assessment of internal controls related to revenue accounting operations to ensure compliance with Company policies, SOX requirements (including monthly testing of key controls) and drive improvements and support internal and external audit activities.

The Revenue Accounting Operations Theater team delivers critical inputs to Cisco's accounting and reporting process. On the Revenue Accounting team, you will be working on a worldwide level with opportunities to drive, influence, and make an impact to the revenue adjustments work stream. We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our fast-paced, high performing team.


Who You Are
You will have good business knowledge with the ability to link business processes with financial accounting and an understanding of US GAAP (revenue accounting standards and accounting for foreign currency preferred). Presentation skills for technical topics concerning specific projects or business issues and knowledge of SOX, audit, general or cost accounting or business unit expertise with demonstrated skills in business partnership or accounting may also be considered. 

Our minimum requirements for this role: 
● BS degree with 5+ years of related experience, CPA preferred 
● Strong Excel spreadsheet skills 
● Requires current Cisco finance organization experience. 
● Strong and effective communication skills across multiple functional
