Position Title: Risk Management Associate, Statistical Analysis
Job Code: 438798
Job Location: New Jersey-Newark
Description: As the second line of defense to the business corporate function, this position supports the objectives of the Enterprise Risk Management function by helping to ensure appropriate controls are maintained and fostering an intelligent risk taking culture. Provides assistance to businesses corporate functions in analyzing complex risk data and ensuring that risks are properly identified, assessed, monitored, controlled and reported. Participates in delivering risk management training to businesses and/or corporate functions, drafting policy statements, procedures, and processes as necessary, and updating and or maintaining ERM methodologies, tools and processes. May complete risk stress testing procedures. Typically requires a degree in a quantitative or financial area of study.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in statistics, biostatistics or related fields. Coursework in biology helpful. Master’s degree a plus


  • One or more years of experience, preferably in actuarial or related areas


  • Experience with software such as R, SQL or statistical analysis tools


  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills


  • Ability to generate practical solutions from researching industry and academic studies


  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work confidently across groups and levels


  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and through changing requirements and priorities while maintaining a positive and can do attitude
