The Risk Manager will assist the Director of Risk Management in the coordination and implementation of loss control efforts in advising hospital staff of potential sources of loss and for making recommendations to minimize or mitigate exposure. The Risk Manager will review and analyze behavioral health events reported through the incident reporting system at the facility. the candidate will support an organization culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence standards to all customer groups. will serve as the liaison between local facility and the corporate risk hierarchy. This will include the appropriate investigation and reporting of risk events through corporate informational systems. The Director of Risk will oversee the data acquisition and analyses performed by the risk analysts from the incident reporting system at the facility. The Director supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence standards to all customer groups. 1. Minimum of Associates Degree in Nursing, Bachelors degree preferred. Extensive experience, i.e. 10 years or greater in Healthcare Risk Management will be considered in lieu of education
2. Two years experience in healthcare Risk Management or Quality or Psychology background preferred.
3. Interview skills and experience in incident investigation.
4. Demonstrates high level of organizational skills.
5. Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
6. Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software applications.
8.Ability to perform statistical analysis on data collected via risk management reporting.
