We are an out patient treatment center offering a comprehensive, integrated program that addresses the needs of the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. Our system of care is personalized, evidence-based, and research-proven. Patients can self-reflect and find strength for life change that characterizes Foundations Recovery Network as a Company. FRN is currently seeking a Registered Nurse responsible for assessing consumer’s medical needs, monitoring medications, administering and tracking TB skin tests, and assisting our psychiatrist.  The ideal candidate will have a valid State of Georgia RN License and the ability to effectively balance the needs of the facility, patients and staff in a fast paced therapeutic environment.  We believe in patient-centered care, which extends beyond our clinical staff, to every department in every facility.  How would you feel, knowing that your ability to care for patients will enable our staff to respond to the patient’s other needs so that they can focus on their recovery? This position will be located at Foundations Recovery Networks facility, Talbott Recovery Campus-Columbus, just North of Columbus, Georgia.

 

Job Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Completes medical screening and/or assessment of new clients immediately upon admission according to level of care procedures.

Monitors medication process for individuals living in residential facilities including supervision of medication distribution, supervising self-administration process.

Prepares Medication Administration Record (MAR).

Provides on-going consumer education (group and individual) regarding medications.

Implements and monitor procedures for random urine drug screens to ensure that each individual is screened as appropriate.

Ensures that test results are documented in medical file and with patient’s clinician.

Participates in weekly staff and clinical meetings.

Cross-trains and supports other divisions as needed or requested by supervisor.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to inspire client confidence in the TRC Staff and the TRC Model of Treatment.
Ability to consistently demonstrate through conduct and communications the stability required to effectively assist patients and their family members through the TRC Model of Treatment.

Demonstrates a broad base of knowledge in psychiatric and addiction treatment and administration.

Ability to build relationships with diverse individuals and groups.

Understands need for and maintains appropriate confidentiality at all times when interacting with patients, residents, families, visitors, referral sources and all other contacts.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.

Must have general knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.

Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.

Understanding of diverse cultures and gender specific issues and the ability to incorporate needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into the organization.

Education and Experience

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required.

Unencumbered State of Georgia RN License.

Minimum 3 years of experience working in psychology/psychiatry or related field required.
