The Assessment Coordinator performs diagnostic psychiatric assessments, consultations and evaluation under indirect supervision. The RN assessment counselor may also do physical and mental nurse assessments on persons being assessed for possible admission. Responsibilities include appropriate identification of service need and referral for patients seeking mental health services.

Registered Nurse license to practice in the State of Texas. 3-5 years experience in behavioral health setting. Reviews HWC at least annually. Maintains current CPR card. 8 additional hours training per year in regard to aspects of assessment.
