Position Summary:

The Charge Nurse assumes the responsibility plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate nursing staff, materials and activities in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. Responsible for integrating nursing theory into practice using the nursing process. The RN uses excellent verbal and written communication skills to problem solve and work effectively with patients, families, staff and physicians. Functions independently and in a team. Other duties as assigned

Position specific requirements:

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Experience: Minimum 1 – 3 years in med-surg/telemetry. Management experience preferred
Training: BLS, ACLS
Licensure: Currently licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Florida
Other: Communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required
