RN Clinical Supervisor is responsible along with the Nurse Manager for the operational management and strategic planning of a department that provides care to a specific patient population. Has 24/7 accountability and responsibility along with Nurse Manger for assigned area(s) of responsibility.


Job Requirements



  • BSN required. 1+ years of leadership experience preferred

  • Professional experience that demonstrates a progressive leadership background

  • Successful completion of the Nurse Career Battery

  • Certification in specialty preferred

  • Successful completion of unit specific certifications (BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, NRP)

  • Current license to practice as a Registered nurse in the District of Columbia or eligible to obtain



  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Effective interpersonal skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities


    Ability to conceptualize the patient flow process and its impact at the unit and hospital level
