Cypress Creek Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Registered Nurse (RN) for our new First Responders Unit.

Cypress Creek Hospital, a freestanding 96-bed facility, located in north Houston, has been faithfully serving Houston and surrounding communities for over 20 years. We are dedicated to the provision of quality care and assistance for individuals and families in need of psychiatric care and treatment for substance abuse and offer a broad range of inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services for adolescents and adults.

The RN is responsible for implementing and evaluating patient care on the CD/Adult/Adolescent units, provide supervision to assigned unit staff, and maintain the safety of the milieu.  

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Patient assessments
  • Medication management
  • Accurate documentation
  • Milieu management and unit team leadership
  • Crisis intervention
  • Health education to patients and their families
Job Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program.

    Experience:  One year psychiatric and/or chemical dependency nursing experience preferred.

    Licensure: Licensed by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas (or licensed in a compact state)

    Certifications: Successful completion of CPR and CPI certification; certification may be obtained during orientation.

    Additional Requirements: •Ability to provide leadership to team members, delegate responsibilities and monitor performance
