Job Description

Assumes the responsibility and accountability for providing safe and competent direct and indirect patient care for patients 13 years and older in accordance with Lakewood Ranch Medical Center policies, standards and philosophy and provides professional leadership and support to health team members. Responsible for integrating nursing theory into practice using the nursing process. Uses excellent verbal and written communication skills to problem solve and work effectively with patients, families, staff and physicians. Plans and organizes patient care activities. Functions independently and in a team. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Experience: Minimum 3 years in acute care setting.
Training: ACLS, (within 90 days of hire) BLS (American Heart Association) required
Licensure: Currently licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Florida

3-5 ICU experience preferred
Other: Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required
