Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the coordination of staff and quality of care of Coumadin Clinic patients
  • Direct patient care and telephonic management of anticoagulation therapy patients enrolled in the Anticoagulation Clinic
  • Evaluate INR responses, identify risk factors and facilitate brief interruptions in therapy across various disciplines and venues
  • Collaborates with primary care physician to ensure appropriate and safe anticoagulation therapy management
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient centered care plans
  • Ensure compliance of staff with all Southwest Medical policies and procedures, state and federal regulations and standards of practice

Required Qualifications:

  • Current, unrestricted NV RN license or temporary NV RN license with the ability to obtain permanent NV RN license upon expiration of temporary NV RN license
  • 2+ years  Cardiology experience
  • ACLS certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire 
  • BLS or ability to obtain  within 30 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience
  • 1+  years of varied clinical case management experience
  • Knowledge of anti - coagulation therapy management and its indications
  • Clinical skills related to anti - coagulation therapy
