Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversees an assigned group within a market segment region
  • Build and maintain client relationships in a multi-client environment
  • Delivery of products and services in a dynamic service environment
  • Segment growth in terms of membership, revenue, and margin Oversees the client assignments and client performance within group. Manages overall performance through use of data
  • Oversees the Client Executive (CE) staff to ensure achievement of growth, customer retention and NBEA goals. Directs and manages account level business plans and opportunity plans for assigned book of business
  • Recruits, hires and monitors performance of CE staff, ensuring appropriate training and development is provided to newly hired employees; provide ongoing training of CE staff
  • Builds and maintains key client and producer relationships, presenting a positive image of UnitedHealth Group in the marketplace. Effectively manages escalated client situations to a positive result, anticipating problems, working with key internal constituents, and developing contingency plans
  • Develop and maintain key internal and matrix relationships
  • Identify and constructively communicate the need for improvements or enhancements in UnitedHealth Group products and services offered to clients
  • Understand and communicate goals, operating principles, strategies and competitive position of National Accounts.
  • Participates directly in key large sales opportunities and / or renewal or retention meetings
  • Collaborates with peers on a regular basis to establish best practices, consistency where appropriate, and accomplishment of overall business goals and objectives
  • This position will require a collaborative Senior leader
  • Skill set will include high EQ - for both management responsibility and client relationships, comfortable and experienced in matrixed environment and advocate for clients while also understanding larger macro goals of UHG, growth and relationship oriented and direct experience with F1000 clients and the consultants that serve them
