Description:



The Safety Lead Delivery Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of frontline employees to deliver orders to key customers in a fast-paced direct store delivery environment. This Delivery Supervisor position will also help to lead the safety agenda for the site.

  • Manage a group of 15-20 delivery drivers (CDL certified)
  • Answer Field customer calls regarding deliveries and ensure 100% customer service
  • Ensure store delivery time windows are met daily
  • Work proactively with sales representatives and warehouse operations to understand the needs of the customers and sales force
  • Coach, lead and develop drivers to support the sales organization and improve daily productivity via gate-to-gate route rides twice a week, minimum
  • Maintain process improvement to further enhance productivity of deliveries
  • Ensure compliance of Department of Transportation and PBC safety standards
  • Conduct team meetings and safety training to ensure that preventive measures are enforced
  • Demonstrate strong oral, written and interpersonal skills
  • Possess very strong organizational and prioritizing skills
  • Have a highly developed sense of urgency
  • Demonstrated results in improving business performance through leadership
  • Facilitate implementation of ongoing effective EHS programs as assigned that assure compliance with PepsiCo and regulatory requirements
  • Stay current on EHS regulatory requirements and technical issues, using relevant information to implement programs, achieve compliance and minimize risks
  • Provide guidance and information to the management team on EHS priorities and risks, associated costs, performance, major issues and interpretation of regulatory requirements
  • Participates in the development of annual EHS compliance goals and EHS performance targets
  • Gather and report data on EHS performance, EHS compliance and significant incidents - keep management apprised of status, trends and progress compared to goals
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of EHS programs including: establishing the roles of others who will assist with (or lead) each program; assuring the development of prioritized action plans with timetables for execution; and participating in the development of site-specific procedures and methods
  • Provide and coordinate the employee EHS training and education programs, including EHS training and orientation for new employees, subject matter experts, and front line management
  • Provide day-to-day coaching, feedback and functional direction to site leadership, front line leaders and operators and technical support
  • Develop and maintain accurate, up-to-date and complete records for EHS related activities
  • Participate in the response to regulatory compliance activities, including onsite inspections, written complaints, notices of violation, etc.
  • Generate a culture of excitement and engagement surrounding EHS activities and programs


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years managing frontline employees
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/ or weekends
  • One (1) to three (3) years EHS experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in EHS related field or closely aligned science or discipline, or professional certification (or in process of obtaining) in Safety or Industrial Hygiene (e.g. ASP, CSP or CIH)
  • Solid knowledge of EHS regulatory requirements, concepts and best practices
  • Good understanding of the EHS issues, regulations and technology which impact the food / beverage processing industry
  • Must be willing to get Class A, CDL certified
  • Must be willing and able to lift up to 40 lbs. periodically
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
