Cisco’s Service Provider Technology Partner organization is chartered to create global GTM strategy and develop associated partner programs for SP Infrastructure, SP Video, SP Software and SP Mobility Solutions.   Our goal is to effectively utilize Cisco channel partners, as a critical route to market, to maximize positive customer experiences and drive incremental growth.


The Service Provider Technology Partner Business Development team is a high performing team of cross functional global experts, responsible for a wide portfolio of solutions that impact significant revenue.  The organization is responsible for driving the engagement strategy for Service Provider Technologies across all segments and thus helping accelerate Cisco’s ability to capture market transitions.


What You'll Do
The Business Development Manager will be part of the Service Provider Technology Partner team, inside the Global Partner organization. This team is responsible for creating global strategy and associated activities to build and enhance Cisco’s channel partner solutions practices related to Service Provider Technologies. As part of the team, the Business Development Manager will work with business units, marketing, finance, sales teams, regional channel teams and other subject matter experts across Cisco, to build the right engagement models for partner engagement. Specific activities will include:

·     Collaborate with cross functional teams to create, develop and augment programs to meet specific requirements

·     Prioritize work streams and determine where to invest for greatest ROI

·     Manage Service Provider Architectures external partner community

·     Understand and champion appropriate internal / externals tools (I.E. SalesConnect, CCW, Jive, Spark,, Etc.)

·     Use Business Analytics tools for review of financial impact, business trends, and engagement impact

·     Consult / evangelize partners as a critical RTM and recycle internal assets for partner consumption

·     Create / coordinate educational frameworks as appropriate for programs / practice building

·     Review of Alpha trainings programs to assure partner requirements are met

·     Solicit budget / funds for application to partner programs / engagements

·     Share best practices / engagements across all regions

·     Interface with internal stakeholders to explain, define and evangelize partner requirements

·     Act as channel / partner subject matter expert and develop appropriate strategy for acquired companies

·     Understand product / solution roadmaps and insert the partner RTM into the NPI process

·     Understand appropriate technologies, business & technical uses cases and help develop programs to drive partner investment


Who You Are

·     5 years of experience in relevant channel roles, with subject matter expertise in one or more solution areas.

·     Excellent intellectual and analytical skills- ability to bring structure to problems effectively and drive to successful solutions

·     Fiscal aptitude together with ROI modeling skills

·     Experience in designing programs / processes for scale and driving complex multi-work stream programs to successful completion

·     Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with teams in a fast-moving and dynamic business environment

·     Ability to influence a dynamic set of stakeholders with competing interests toward win-win outcomes

·     Understanding of Cisco Service Provider Technology Product and Service portfolio

Industry awareness and understanding of partner and Service Provider specific business drivers and desired outcomes in order to align solutions
