You will need a well-rounded knowledge of the collaboration technology industry and the desire to position (sell) this technology to a variety of audiences; from the highly technical IT engineer to the business executive decision maker. In this role you will be expected to create and deliver highly impactful sales acceleration solutions targeted at specific Cisco routes to markets – Service Providers, VARs, Distributors, Systems Integrators and more. This role operates within the Global Collaboration Sales team and will focus on specific collaboration scaling solutions from sales through lifecycle best practices. The ideal candidate is a confident, self-starting sales leader who knows how to help our (Cisco’s) critically important routes to market grow their software business practices in today’s rapidly changing marketplace.

The Collaboration team is responsible for delivering the outbound and inbound vision and messages to targeted audiences while coordinating sales acceleration efforts across the globe by partnering with our regional and extended sales teams.

We are recruiting for a sales business development leader who can apply their knowledge of route to market best practices to the role of Global Collaboration Sales and transform how Cisco talks about our Collaboration suite by creating engaging content to communicate Cisco's story and drive awareness and expedite sales.

Who You Are

The successful candidate will have the right blend of Functional knowledge of Collaboration and a desire to use those skills to provide impactful marketing to Cisco's client and partner business. Our ideal candidate will:

- Work closely with key internal stakeholders (sales teams, regional and local marketing, solutions marketing, product management and technical experts) to use your functional expertise and create higher level impactful content that is targeted to a variety of audiences.

- Work with the Business units to understand their product and solution roadmaps and create higher level sales accelerating plays

- Will consolidate regional specific needs, gaps and requirements into a global plan.

- Create content using templates and guidelines to adhere to brand, journeys, targeted personas, creative platform guidelines. This includes but is not limited to, blogs, white papers, case studies, social media posts, ebooks, infographics and videos.

- Test the content to ensure that it is impactful with Cisco's audience.

- Take direct responsibility to work with individual partner and customer teams on delivering new collaboration sales accelerating concepts (best practices, solutions, etc.)

- Actively monitor content that is available or under development both globally and in other countries.

- Review offer documentation, messaging objectives, product and solution customer benefits.

- Contribute to the global sales community in your given topic area and serve as a subject matter expert to the regions.

- Track general business indicators, including market share, attach rates and competitor's marketing and sales program activities.

- Analyze and develop differentiation against competitors.

- Work via Marketing Communications or directly with agencies for final content creative and production.

- The most critical KPI for the Routes to Market SBDM role is related to the our collaboration sales performance in both bookings and revenue (in market) that they are responsible for creating and executing. Ideally as Cisco moves our collaboration portfolio forward – all routes should grow incrementally.

You offer:

* 10-15 years of professional experience in a business development or sales role such as product marketing, product management, or functional sales Leader.

Broad collaboration solution awareness with an understanding of emerging network technologies such as virtualization, cloud, software-defined networking and automation.

Excellent solution delivery skills with the ability to take complex concepts and convey them to a non-technical audience, both verbally and in repeatable form.

* An understanding of the Collaboration marketplace today and into the future

* A team player with the ability to collaborate, lead and work in a fast-paced matrixed organization.

* An established track record of developing impactful customer/partner relationships from conception through to execution.

* Experienced in all stages of creating a successful sales acceleration campaign i.e. planning, strategy, execution and distribution.

* Experienced in helping a route to market grow their existing software business in today’s marketplace – this includes digital lead generation, digital customer journeys and overall lifecycle management best practices.

You are highly driven – personally accountable - with a proven ability to develop and manage engaging relationships at different levels within a company.

* Excellent organization and project management skills (editorial calendars, deadlines, vendor/agency management, budgets).

* Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy.

* Comfortable collaborating with global/regional/local colleagues as part of a physical or virtual team.
